The Human Teeth Collection: The Range That Sold Out in Adelaide and Melbourne

If you attended the Oddities & Curiosities Expos in Adelaide or Melbourne this year, you already know:
the Human Teeth Collection was the unexpected star of the entire weekend.

What began as a small experimental range has quickly become one of the most talked-about—and fastest-selling—collections I’ve ever released. Both the Human Teeth Earrings and Human Teeth Necklaces completely sold out at both expos, leaving me blown away, grateful, and back in the studio restocking as fast as my hands will allow.

Why Human Teeth? A Celebration of the Beautifully Unsettling

Teeth have long been symbols of life, transformation, vulnerability, and human history. There’s something undeniably fascinating about the idea of wearing a piece of the body as art—equal parts symbolic, macabre, and meaningful.

For collectors of the unusual, curiosity lovers, and those drawn to dark, anatomical design, human teeth jewellery strikes the perfect balance between eerie and elegant.

Every piece is:

  • ethically sourced

  • carefully cleaned and preserved

  • set by hand in sterling silver or stainless steel findings

  • designed to highlight the organic textures and natural imperfections of each tooth

No two pieces are ever the same—and that is exactly why people are falling in love with them.

A Breakout Hit at the Oddities & Curiosities Expos

Adelaide – Sold Out Day One

Adelaide absolutely devoured the new collection. The Human Teeth Earrings were the first pieces to sell out, followed closely by the pendants. By Sunday afternoon, the entire range had disappeared from my table.

Collectors told me they loved:

  • the authenticity

  • the anatomical aesthetic

  • how wearable and minimal the designs felt

  • the perfect blend of creepy + beautiful

Hearing your reactions was honestly the highlight of my weekend.

Melbourne – Gone Again!

If Adelaide surprised me, Melbourne left me speechless.

People walked straight to my booth asking specifically for the Human Teeth Collection—some had seen them online, others heard about the sell-out and came early to grab one before they disappeared again.

And disappear they did… within hours.

The range officially sold out for the second weekend in a row.

Human Tooth Earrings
A$250.00

The Human Tooth Earrings are handcrafted sterling silver earrings made in Adelaide, South Australia by Olivia Dryden. They belong to the Curios Collection, where natural history, memento mori symbolism and careful craftsmanship meet.

The design began with a real human tooth, chosen for its intimate scale, recognisable form and quiet connection to the body. Through the moulding and casting process, the tooth has been recreated in sterling silver, transforming the original specimen into a lasting wearable object.

Worn as earrings, the tooth forms feel personal, symbolic and slightly unsettling in the best way. They sit within the memento mori tradition as a reminder of the body, memory and the strange beauty found in human remains and natural forms.

Materials: Sterling silver

Process: Each pair is handmade in small quantities using traditional silversmithing and casting techniques. The original human tooth was carefully moulded before being cast in sterling silver. Slight differences in texture, shape and finish should be expected as part of the handmade process.

Dimensions:Earring length: 3 cm. Tooth width: 1 cm.

FAQ

Q1: Are the Human Tooth Earrings made from real teeth?
A: The finished earrings are made from sterling silver, not human teeth. The design began with a real human tooth, which was carefully moulded so its recognisable form and surface detail could be preserved before being cast in sterling silver.

Q2: What does tooth jewellery symbolise?
A: Tooth jewellery often connects to the body, memory, mortality and transformation. Within the Curios Collection, the tooth form sits within a memento mori tradition, reflecting on the fragile and fascinating relationship between beauty, identity and impermanence.

Q3: How do I clean the Human Tooth Earrings?
A: Avoid perfumes, lotions and harsh chemicals, and gently polish the sterling silver with a soft jewellery cloth. Because the tooth forms have small sculptural details, a silver dip may be used occasionally if needed. Always follow the silver dip instructions carefully, rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
