This portfolio brings together selected exhibition pieces, one-of-a-kind jewellery and significant works created throughout Olivia’s artistic practice.
Many pieces begin with a natural specimen, such as a flower, bone, tooth, insect or marine form, which is carefully moulded or interpreted through traditional jewellery-making techniques. By transforming these fragile and often overlooked objects into sterling silver, Olivia preserves their intricate details and gives them a new permanence.
Her jewellery encourages a closer look at forms that may otherwise be unnoticed, discarded or associated with discomfort. Through careful craftsmanship and precious materials, they are transformed into objects of curiosity, beauty and remembrance.
Nature, Mortality and Transformation
Recurring themes within Olivia’s work include the relationship between life and death, the preservation of memory and our changing perception of natural objects.
Influenced by natural-history collections and Victorian memento mori jewellery, her work considers how jewellery can carry meaning beyond decoration. Each piece can become a small sculpture, a personal symbol or a reminder of the natural world and our place within it.
All animal specimens used as references or incorporated into Olivia’s work have been ethically sourced and come from animals that have died naturally or from unavoidable causes.
Exhibitions and Artistic Practice
Olivia’s contemporary jewellery has been created for exhibitions, galleries and independently developed collections. Her practice moves between wearable jewellery and broader visual art, with ideas also extending into drawing, wall-based work, sculpture and installation.
The works shown here include both completed and archived pieces. Some may have been sold or created specifically for an exhibition and are not currently available to purchase.
